Ben Frost Stitch Sample Proof Acid Blotter Print 1xrun Pop Art

“A Stitch In Time” by Ben Frost, originally released April 2025 as part of 1XRUN’s annual Bicycle Day Weekend Trip blotter art series. The piece reimagines an EpiPen 2-Pak box with Stitch from Lilo & Stitch on the package. Classic Frost territory mashing pharmaceutical packaging with cartoon and pop culture iconography to skewer corporate branding.

This is an unsigned sample proof from the 1XRUN production run, not a numbered retail edition. Sample proofs are pre-production references used to check color, registration, and perforation alignment before the main run is pulled. Back is stamped “ONE TIME RUN / MADE IN DETROIT / CERTIFIED AUTHENTIC / PROOF” with a blank EDIT field, consistent with sample proof production.

Published by 1XRUN, Detroit’s leading fine art print house. The Bicycle Day blotter program is run in collaboration with Zane Kesey (son of Ken Kesey, Merry Pranksters), who hand-perforates the sheets, continuing the lineage of LSD-era blotter as a fine art medium.

Ben Frost is an Australian contemporary pop artist with international solo shows and collaborations including Moschino and Carolina Herrera.
