Found This Week: Second Call

Twenty-five new listings this week and twenty-two of them are the same shape: a Japanese gravure idol on a phone card or a QUO card, unused, fifty dollars or thirty-five. Asahi Geino Secret, Monthly Entame, BOMB, EX Taishu, Doyo. Fourteen from Asahi Geino Secret alone. They are in the store, they are all photographed, and one of them stands in for the lot below. The rest of this post is the eleven from last week that did not fit, now that price says it is their turn.

Rockin' Jelly Bean Erosty Pop Back Print Tee, Yellow, 1998, M

Rockin' Jelly Bean Erosty Pop back print tee, yellow, 1998, size M

Held over from last week because nine things were $150 and only eight fit. Erosty Pop, Los Angeles, 1998, RJB's label before Erostika. Large illustrated graphic across the back, small chest logo on the front, dated 1998 in the print. Excellent, colors bright, no cracking on either print, size M. The 1998 hoodie ran last week. This is the tee from the same year and label, different garment, different print. (Yellow in 1998 was a choice. It still is.) $150.

Erosty Pop Cheerleader Ninjas Tee, Yellow, Fits S

Erosty Pop Cheerleader Ninjas Rockin' Jelly Bean tee, yellow, fits size S

Same label, late 90s. Halftone pin-up with a katana over a black polka dot circle, Cheerleader Ninjas across the chest, Rockin' Jelly Bean Art Graphics around the rim, sleeve print that reads Cheerleader in English and ninja in kanji, Erosty Pop! Los Angeles. Single stitch collar. The size tag washed blank, so it is sized by tape: 17 in chest, 24 in long, fits a small. Print soft and worn in with light cracking. (A size tag that faded before the print did. That is a good blank.) $100.

Erostika Devil's Cheerleaders Tee, White, 2011, M

Erostika Devil's Cheerleaders Rockin' Jelly Bean tee, white, 2011, size M

Thirteen years and one ocean after the Cheerleader Ninjas tee, RJB drew cheerleaders again, this time for his own Tokyo label. Pin-up with pom-poms against a devil-red sun and a hot rod, Famous Erostika of Mondo, dated 2011 in the print. White, 100% cotton, size M, excellent, colors bright. Put it next to the yellow one above and you can watch the linework tighten over a decade. (He kept the cheerleaders. He upgraded the car.) $100.

Aoi Fujino Asahi Geino Secret Telephone Card, 2019, Unused

Aoi Fujino Asahi Geino Secret unused Japanese telephone card, 2019

One card standing in for twenty-two. Asahi Geino Secret is the gravure spin-off of Asahi Geino, a weekly men's magazine, and its promotional telecas are the late form of the phone card habit this blog has covered before: 50-unit NTT card, promotional issue, never fed into a phone. This one is Aoi Fujino, issued 2019, card code F01HJ7, clean front and back, no punch holes. Thirteen more Asahi Geino Secret cards listed with it, plus the BOMB 2011 pair, the Monthly Entame and Asahi Geino QUO cards, and one each from EX Taishu and Doyo. All unused, all in the store, all photographed. (Twenty-two idols on twenty-two cards. Some of them are the same idol twice. Read the titles.) $50.

Aoi Fujino teleca

Also in this week and not in this post: a 1998 Erosty Pop mouse pad, a Range Murata PSE trading figure, a Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 playing card deck, a Natural 2 Duo teleca, and a third copy of the French Bondage Fairies 2, opened. Next week, if nothing outprices them. The ACG is still on the bench.
